Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 Extended is a version of Photoshop that includes all of the features of Photoshop CS5, as well as additional features for working with 3D and motion graphics.

New features in Photoshop CS5.1 Extended include:

• Adobe Repoussé technology: This technology allows you to create 3D extrusions from 2D artwork.
• Shadow catcher: This tool makes it easy to add realistic shadows to 3D objects.
• 3D materials library and picker: This library and picker give you access to a wide range of 3D materials that you can use to texture your objects.
• Overlays for materials and mesh boundaries: These overlays can help you to visualize how materials will look on your objects and to edit mesh boundaries more easily.
• Depth of field for 3D: This feature allows you to add depth of field to your 3D scenes.
• Enhanced ray tracer with progressive rendering: This ray tracer produces more realistic results and renders faster than the ray tracer in previous versions of Photoshop.
• Image-based light source: This feature allows you to use images as light sources in your 3D scenes.
• Animate lights with image-based lights: This feature allows you to create realistic lighting effects in your animated 3D scenes.
• Context-sensitive widget for easy control of objects, cameras, meshes, and lights: This widget makes it easier to control and edit 3D objects, cameras, meshes, and lights.
• 3D merging and scene compositing improvements: These improvements make it easier to merge 3D objects and to composite 3D scenes with 2D images.

In addition to these new features, Photoshop CS5.1 Extended also includes a number of performance improvements and bug fixes.
